Mustard Seed Christian Daycare and Preschool 

Nicole Gregory joined the team at Mustard Seed in December 2010 as the School Age Teacher and Early Childhood Teacher Substitute. In March 2011 she took over the position of Director, and continues to lead a spectacular team of motivated committed teachers.  She attended Elgin Community College, Illinois State University, and finished her BA program at Kendall College in Chicago IL. Most recently Ms. Nicole took the Basic Life Saving Instructor's Course, and is currently studying Yoga to teach to the children here at Mustard Seed.  Nicole is the mom of two beautiful young women and lives right here in Rossville . 

 

 

Ms. Terri is our Assistant Director and our Head Teacher of the Toddler Room.  She has been working for Mustard Seed Christian Daycare since 2007.  She completed her Early Childhood Program at Waubonsee Community College in Sugar Grove, IL.  She has three children of her own, a beautiful grand-daughter, and resides in here in Rossville.  

Ms. Debbie joined us in August of 2016 after leaving the healthcare field.  She works as an Assistant Teacher with Ms. Terri in the Toddler Room. Her gentle nature, unwaivering smile, and artistic talent are a valued asset in the Toddler Room. 

Ms. Hannah joined us in May of 2018 seeking a new adventure.  She previously worked in both the educational world and the criminal justice world.  She currently is working in the Toddler Room and Twos Room as a floating assistant teacher. 

Miss Taylor is the Head Teacher in our Infant Room and has been in this position for the past two years. She comes to us as a Graduate of Danville Area Community College with her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. She and her husband reside in the area with their sweet dog.

Miss Chelsea is one of the Assistant Teachers in our Infant Room.  She begain her work here at Mustard Seed as an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher back in 2012. She posesses a wonderful gift for working with children with special needs. She lives with her family here in the community. 

 

 

 

 Ms. Amanda is our on site Kitchen Manager and cook.  She has years of experience providing healthy whole food meals to large groups.  She has a kind heart, is organized, and a wonderful cook! 

 

Ms. Shannon has been with us for one year as our assistant cook and custodian.  She has a cheerful demeaner and an infectious laugh.  She also serves as a back up in the classroom when needed.  

Ms. Kerrie has been with us since 2010 working as one of our Head Teachers in the Preschool Room.  She is now the Head Teacher in our Twos Room. She attended Danville Area Community College where she concentrated on Early Childhood Education.  Ms. Kerrie's sweet smile and go with the flow nature are a super assett to any Early Childhood setting. 

Ms. Danielle joined us in May of 2017 as an Assistant Teacher in the Twos Room after a long career in an office setting. She is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood to fulfill her dream of becoming a Head Teacher. She is the potty training QUEEN!  

 

Ms. Amy is our Preschool 1 Head Teacher, and has been with Mustard Seed since 2009.  Amy brings many years of experience working in child care.  She received her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood from Danville Area Community College.  She resides in Hoopeston, IL with her husband and three children.  Miss Amy is loved by all her children, is wonderfully creative, and isn't afraid to get messy!

Mr. "G" (Juan G.) joined us as an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool.  He spent the summer working with Ms. Dawn learning the ropes of working with little humans.  He currently is the Assistant Teacher in Preschool 1, and posesses a natural gift for working with strong personalities.  His gentle manner and quick wit make him a great asset in this room.  Mr. "G" comes to us with the experience of working with adults with disabilities and mentoring Jr. High and High School children in the after school program in Urbana.  

Ms Cristina joined us this summer as a Floating Head Teacher and has been covering the School Age class while Ms. Amanda L. is on maternity leave. She is currently in school for Elementary Educaton.  Her math and science projects have been a big hit this summer!

Ms. Amanda L. (not pictured) is our Head Teacher in the School Age Room.  She came to us with a degree in social work and experience working in the Boys and Girls Club After School Program.  

 Ms. Dawn joins us after relocating from Indiana where she worked in an Early Childhood Facility.  She studied Early  Childhood at DACC, and has worked at Roselawn in Danville as a Preschool teacher and Dance instructor prior to her move to Indiana. Ms. Dawn is an animal lover, a talented dancer, and one of the most innovated creative teachers I have ever met.  She is the Head Teacher in our Preschool 2  Room, and she resides in Danville with her family. 

Ms. Rylee is the Assistant Teacher in Preschool 2.  Her eagerness to learn will serve her well as she is looking forward to begin her education adventure into Early Childhood.
